Party History
The CPI (M) is a force to be reckoned with, a force to be reckoned with. The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI (M)) is well known for its uncompromising struggle on behalf of the people against selfishness, narrow-mindedness, nostalgia for wealth, power struggles and caste politics. . The CPM is the only party that is running as a weapon of lofty ideals aimed at the welfare of the people for the country in a situation where politics thinks only for gain. Arunaruna Chaitanya is at the forefront of leftist forces in the country. The CPI (M) is a democratic progressive political force that has completed half a century as a force to be reckoned with, a force to be reckoned with, a force to be reckoned with, a force to be reckoned with, a force to be reckoned with, a force to be reckoned with, a force to be reckoned with. Most of the parties in the country are embroiled in various corruption allegations. The colors changed with many forms of opportunism. But the CPI (M) and the Left have always been committed to the socialist ideology of secular democratic values for the last fifty years and have always worked to preserve them. Although the Congress played a major role under Gandhiji's leadership, it was the Communists who proposed new ideas on behalf of the people.
It is time for foreign rulers to plunder the resources and raw materials here and rub their goods on us. Our farmers have destroyed agriculture and become accustomed to the commercial crops they need, such as tea, coffee, tobacco, blue medicine. Indigenous colonists subjugated kings, landlords, and aristocrats and brutally plundered the peasantry. However, Gandhiji was of the opinion that these kings did not need to fight the landlords. It was at such a time that the communists launched the struggles against the feudal monarchy. Punnapra Vayalar in Kerala, Tebhaga in Bengal, Tripura Sansthanam, Munagala Pargana from Mandasa in the north of Telugu, fought against the Zamindars of Challapalli. Thus it was the communists who preceded the liberation struggles that shook the working class and the oppressed classes.
Until then, the slogan of complete independence was the arrival of the Congress-Communists, who had been confined to the Korkes as a dictatorship to the Maharajas. Many national revolutionary fighters, including Amarjeevi Bhagat Singh, were drawn to the communist ideology. Although his group was hanged, the rest of his comrades sided with the Communist Party. For this reason, the British rulers sided exclusively with the Communist Party. There has never been a ban on Congress for decades. But the occasional beginning Communist Party was banned by the British rulers. The rulers massacred thousands of communists. Was imprisoned. The Communists, like Gandhiji, wanted domestic economic development. The communists in the country, on the other hand, advanced to the Oresses as early as the 1920s. While the communists were dealing with other kinds of people, the Orissas simply distanced themselves from the freedom struggle by pretending to be anti-Muslim, and as the British also fostered sectarian politics, the country eventually had to face a gruesome genocide. Less than six months after independence, a Hindu fanatic brutally shot and killed Mahatma Gandhi, while the Communists were committed to religious harmony and national self-determination.
For theoretical purity ..
After independence the Congress rulers declared a moratorium on foreign debt and conspired further with them instead of seizing British investment. Bhujana deceived the rich with anti-public policies. Created a chaotic situation with opportunistic tendencies. In this context, some within the communist movement proposed to adopt a softer attitude towards them instead of preparing for more militant struggles. Puchalapally Sundarayya, AK Gopalan, BT Ranadive, Harikishan Singh Surjit, P. Ramamurthy, Pramod Dasgupta, Makineni Basavapunnayya, Jyotibasu, Namboodiripad, Muzaffar Ahmad, etc., who disagreed with this, were fierce warriors. It was also decided to set up a new body to intensify the public struggle for the purity of the revolutionary ideology. It was at this stage of their thinking that they imprisoned part of the communist movement in 1962, justifying the Chinese war. However, he stood firm and decided to hold a national conference in Tenali from July 7 to July 12, 1964 to form a new party. Puchalapally Sundarayya became the first Chief Secretary. Since then the CPM has always pursued an independent policy. It will move forward while deciding on a specific policy appropriate to the conditions of this country.
Attack on the CPM
The government launched the attack before the CPM was fully formed. Saying that the border conflict with China should be resolved through consultation is portrayed as a big offense. Now everyone, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is saying that friendship with China should be enhanced. That is what the CPM said in those days. That is why Chinese agents were branded as Chinese agents. In the Lok Sabha, then Home Minister Gulzari Lal Nanda read a log of allegations against the CPM. CPM leaders across the country were also arrested in the middle of the night. All the important leaders in all the districts of Andhra Pradesh were imprisoned. Just as the British banned the Communist Party, not just the Congress, so did the Congress central government, which initially attacked the CPM. To this end, the Preventive Detention (PD) Act has been widely implemented. However, all the leaders were arrested and imprisoned, but occasionally the second tier leaders and activists bravely stood by the people. Movements were made on issues. Fought over issues such as the distribution of barren lands and the repair of drainages. Janashakti was founded by DV Subbarao and others on behalf of the CPM when the CPI fell into the hands of the Vishalandhra magazine, which was built with the collective efforts of the Prajasakti magazine. Many intellectuals spearheaded the civil rights movement for the release of arrested leaders. A few days later those intellectuals were also arrested. The struggles for the rights of the press of yesteryear now have little to do with the propaganda coming to the left in the media. So the CPM was born with struggles.
Support for movements:
To revive the CPM's militant mass movements, the Congress fought valiantly against anti-people policies. CPM leaders were fighting hard in the Legislative Assembly. Sundarayya was the CPM leader in the Legislative Assembly while Tarimela Nagireddy was the Deputy Leader. In those days many rights were won over the problems of the teaching profession. In 1966, the Visakhapatnam Steel Movement ravaged Andhra Pradesh. At that time all the CPM legislators resigned and declared solidarity. There were also extensive movements in the districts on various issues.
Kilobyte per rupee:
Prices in the country have skyrocketed due to government policies. Rice prices have skyrocketed, especially in the state. Moreover Gannavaram also provided itself to the people in the area in that way. Has been limited in a few other places. This is the first time an opposition party has implemented such a program. Obviously this was not swallowed up by the government. In 1972, Indira Gandhi carried out a semi-fascist coup in West Bengal and turned the elections into a sham.
Cotton farmers commit suicide - Debt burden:
When the price of cotton fell in Prakasam district and suicides started in 1984`85, the CPM farmers' union was the first in the country to recognize the problem. Brought the issue of discounted price onto the sector. He fought against the restrictions on the price of cotton. The movement lasted until some concessions were achieved.
Helps people in drought:
The CPM has always been at the forefront of politics, movements as well as service programs. In 1986, there was a severe drought in Mahabubnagar. The people are suffering due to the negligence of the government machinery. At that time, the porridge centers run with the help of CPM donors were a great relief. When the floods receded in Anantapur, the CPM cadre across the state was fully deployed in the field and provided assistance to the good people of Shakti.
The anti-Sarah movement ... the struggle of social classes:
In 1992 and 1993, an anti-Sarah movement was launched under the auspices of the Jana Vijnana Veedika, Mahila Sangham. The movement started in Nellore district and soon spread across the state. The CPM supported the movement. While fighting against religiosity, the CPM also filled in the gaps on casteism. Founded the Anti-Caste Discrimination Society (KVPS) and joined the militant movement. As a result of the CPM struggle, a commission chaired by Justice Punnayya had to be appointed to study the situation of the castes that were finally copied. It was a big success in the social sphere.
Electricity movement stimulation:
The new policies that are breaking out, as the CPM had earlier warned, have become a curse to the country. The Andhra Pradesh government under Chandrababu Naidu has turned the state into a laboratory for these policies with things like Vision 2020. Under those circumstances the struggle for simplification policies erupted. It was during this time that the Chandrababu government dismantled the Electricity Board in 2000 and raised rates. On August 28, 2000, three people were killed in a shooting at Bashir Bagh during the assembly. It expanded exponentially and became a lifeline for the Chandrababu government. The CPM has been instrumental in turning the state, which has become a laboratory for globalization, into a center of resistance. It not only early warning of the dangers of unsafe practices such as water meters, user charges, and outsourcing, but also campaigns against them. The Anganwadi Workers' Movement, which took place at that stage, supported the strikes in the RTC and played a political role in their victory.
Excerpt: Land War:
The state-wide land struggle demanding minimum housing for the poor has won the hearts of the people. Many of the leaders in this struggle were slapped. The role played by the CPM in providing housing to the poor in many areas is astounding. The shooting in Mudigonda, Khammam district, left seven people dead and sparked outrage. The CPM went on a hunger strike on behalf of KVPS and won the SC ST subplan. Organized integrated development expeditions and irrigation walks in the districts. The CPM policy against linguistic partition was the same then as it is now. The now divided Andhra Pradesh Committee, which aims at the welfare of the people against opportunistic politics, wants the linguistic states. It mobilized the people on issues with the slogan that struggle is inevitable in one or both states. Conducted fights ..
Undesirable trends in elections:
In the previous elections, the BJP, led by Narendra Modi at the Center, won a landslide victory over the Congress. The strength of the CPM left is also greatly diminished. Temporary tensions The CPM did not get representation in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly amid the campaigns of the ruling class parties. Not only money and temptations, but also corporate powers, including big contractors, and company owners were directly involved in the election. On the other hand, as in 1998, the Telugu Desam leader not only allied himself with the BJP but also engaged in mutual participation in the governments. Promises like debt consolidation are being watered down and public resources are being prepared to corporatize to impose new burdens.
The CPM predicts that the unity of the left democratic forces, the mobilization of the secular parties and the fact that the lives of the poor middle class will be even more miserable if the dangers in the economic sphere are not reversed, must be achieved. The influx of FDI poses a major threat to domestic businesses. Recalling the ideological significance of the people's movements in the fifties, the CPM is preparing itself to adapt to today's conditions. The Communists initially gave the slogan of complete independence if the day of the national uprising was confined to the dominance of the Congress. Today, the British rulers arrested and imprisoned communists across the country. The fight did not stop. Continues to grow. Even today the Communists are again waging an uncompromising struggle against the liberalization and privatization policies of the Left. Labor Farmers' Unions Student Youth Unions Women's Social Classes are ready to move forward with more initiative in all. As the CPM Nandigama Committee, we request everyone's help to overcome the challenges during this exam and take the movement further.
